Course description
Overview: Students will learn intermediate features of Word 97.
Prerequisites: Windows 95: Introduction, and Word 97: Level 1 or equivalent knowledge.
Delivery method: Instructor-led, group-paced, classroom-delivery learning model with structured hands-on activities.
Benefits: Students will learn about tables, styles, templates, and macros; how to merge documents; multiple-columnar formats; and Internet basics.
Target student: Students enrolling in this course should understand the basic concepts involved in working with a personal computer (PC). For example, students should be familiar with such terms as computer memory, data files, and program files. Students should also be familiar with the components that make up the personal computer, such as input, output, and storage devices. Completion of the Logical Operations Word 97: Level 1 class is assumed.
What's next: Word 97: Level 1 is the first course in this series. Word 97: Advanced, the next course in this series, teaches students how to create forms, use drawings, create reports, control document sections, use external data, and share documents. Students will also learn advanced techniques to use with styles, templates, and workplace customization.
